This book is about a young bat who falls out of the nest and ends up being raised by birds. I recommend this book because it shows that it's best just to be yourself!

"Oh, the Thinks You Can Think" as Miss Crampton's Fave

"Oh, the Thinks You Can Think" by Dr. Seuss

This book is about using your creativity to think of some unusual ideas if only you'd try. I recommend this book because it is fun and makes you wonder about what other usual thinks you could think. This was my favorite book to read with my Mom when I was little and I love reading it to my students each year.

"The Magician's Nephew" as Mrs. Logue's Fave

"The Magician's Nephew" by C.S. Lewis

The Magician’s Nephew is the prequel to "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe." Read the Magician’s Nephew to find out where the wardrobe came from, why the White Witch is angry, and how the land of Narnia began. You will be carried into fantastical worlds that the protagonists, Digory and Polly, discover due to their curiosity and the antics of Digory’s uncle. Conflict arises when an evil queen follows Digory and Polly back into the real world, as well as when a cabby, his wife, horse and Uncle Andrew get into Narnia. Aslan, the beloved lion, plays an important role in the way the plot unravels.

My favorite quote from the book is when Aslan is speaking about Queen Jadis, “…Things always work according to their nature. She has won her heart’s desire; she has unwearying strength and endless days like a goddess. But length of days with an evil heart is only length of misery and already she begins to know it. All get what they want; they do not always like it.”

I like this book because all of the characters in them have interesting lives.  Also this book is very funny and very fun to read if you have nothing to do when you are very bored.
