"Heartbeat" chosen by Stefani

Heartbeat by Sharon Creech is about a girl who likes to draw.  She is in art class and her teacher says that everyday they have to draw the same apple.  She draws it but her grandpa, he's kind of mental, took a bite from the apple.  At first Annie is confused; she doesn't know what to do so she draws it again, and everyday her grandpa takes another bite.  As much as she loves to draw, she loves to run too.  She always runs the same path with another boy who she wants to be faster than.

I really like this book, and I recommend it to 3rd -5th  graders.
