"Wonder" by R. J. Palacio as Dr. Argent's Fave

Wonder by R. J. Palacio is about a 5th grade boy that is entering public schools for the first time. He has been home schooled his entire life.  Here is the kicker, though; he has a SEVERE facial deformity that makes it difficult to look at him.  He is a kind, caring, funny, smart young man and the book tells of his hardships and triumphs as he learns to become a 5th grade student and how he helps many other students become better people.  It is an amazing book that will make you think, laugh out loud, and even cry!  I could not recommend it enough - I guarantee you will enjoy it!
