"The Lightning Thief" by Rick Riordan is about how Percy (who is the son of Poseiden) goes to this summer camp and learns how to uses is supernatural powers. It's action packed and full of cool gods and demi-gods. You may have to put this one on hold, because it's super popular, but it's worth the wait.
